Rugao port is located in the southernmost of Rugao, the northern bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze river and the center of the Yangtze river delta. Rugao port has 38 wharfs built or under construction of 10, 000 tons or more. The tri-dimensional transportation system of ports, railways, aviation, highways and inland rivers has been improved day by day.
General purpose wharf is located in You Laisha operation area of Rugao port. It is planned to construct 2 public berths of 200,000 tons, 2 public berths of 100,000 tons and a rear storage yard of 2000 mu with an annual throughput of 48 million tons, making full use of 1200-meter shoreline of Yangtze River.
The logistics park covers an area of 258 mu for accommodating 420 large and medium-sized logistics companies and more than 1000 large and medium-sized trucks to park, with supporting chain hotel and catering, which provides a one-stop service of logistics information, breakbulk warehouse, freight filing and property shops.
The bonded logistics center (type B) is located in Rugao port, a national first-class port. It covers an area of 0.35 square kilometers ready for accommodating bonded warehouses and storage yards of more than 160,000 square meters.
The container terminal has a harbor shoreline of 757 meters, a Yangtze river shoreline of 420 meters, hinterland of 1000 mu, 8 general terminals of 5, 000-30, 000 tons, a storage yard of 400,000 square meters, with an annual handling capacity of 1 million teu.
